Student-Parent Meeting
Parents and Students PLEASE attend meeting on Wednesday, February 9 at 4:00 OR 7:00pm (whatever works best for you) In the Music Room at Sunset Ridge. We will discuss travel arrangements, details, and room assignments.

Details: We would leave Monday, June 27, 2011 and return Wednesday, June 29, 2011

- But they would leave on Monday, June 27 and return Wednesday, June 29 after presentation.
- Students present Wednesday, June 29 from 11-1 in the Student Showcase area.
Student Selection Process
15-20 students would be selected from the following groups, the emphasis using music in technology:

- SIT (Students Involved with Technology)
Saturday, February 12, 2011
Stevenson High School
- ICE (Illinois Computing Educators)
Tuesday, February 22-Thursday, February 24, 2011
St. Charles, Illinois
Friday morning tech club
Students create projects during study halls and individual time within the lab.
Student-Parent Meeting February 9 at 4:00 OR 7:00pm in the Music Room
Will be conducted to discuss travel arrangements, presentations, and room assignments.
- I will be leaving on Saturday for a workshop I am conducting on Sunday. Students will fly in on Monday with parents and teachers.I would fly home with the group on Wednesday.
- Would contact a travel agent for airfare, so we are all on the same flight.
- We would all stay in the same conference hotel.
- Conduct rules would be the same standard as the Washington trip. Students/parents would sign forms and I have final say as to who is going and presenting.
- Students and chaperones go free to the conference ($300.00 a person) But, parents/students will be responsible for their hotel and airfare costs.
- Teachers portion would come out of the Teacher’s Professional Growth allowance.
Cost
$200 x 2 nights
But, students and parents would be together so cost would be lower.
$350 airfare
$150 food
Total on the high end would be $700.00
Presentation
- Students would bring their school laptops for presentation, along with personal devices.
- All presentations would be approved by me.
